FRIDAY UPDATE 10: Shipping & Moving Launch Date

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING UPDATE

...I'll be completely honest, it has been significantly more tricky setting up the international shipping than I was expecting. In the past I had to put in each address, line by line, into a shipping website. I had hoped it would be easier to do it with my new program. And it was... when it worked. I was able to print exactly one label  before the program fritzed out on me. I've been working to fix it, but it wasn't until yesterday that I was able to straighten things out completely.

Needless to say, this pushes the shipping back a bit. I’ll still ship out as many orders as I can tomorrow, but it wont be all like i was hoping for.

I've also been answering questions as they've come in regarding orders. If you have a question about your order (tracking numbers should have been sent to you if they apply), please feel free to message/email me!

MOVING THE LAUNCH DATE OF 'I SHIP IT TOO!'

I have been thinking very deeply about my next project and have come to the conclusion that it would be best to push out the next launch date. This is in part due to the extended shipping dates mentioned above. But there is also so much going on in the world, things that are so much bigger than my project. And those things deserve our attention much much more.

Wherever you are in the world, I hope that you are safe and well. It is easy to feel small or isolated or alone. But remember that we are not. And we all have a part to play to make the world a better and brighter place for everyone.

For my part, I'm currently working on designing a sticker to support 'Campaign Zero', which will hopefully be available for preorders soon. 100% of profits from that sticker would go to Campaign Zero to help end police violence in America.

Therefore, with all of these things in mind, the new date for the I SHIP IT TOO! Kickstarter is Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 8:00am PST.

I apologize in advanced for having to do this, but I believe it is the right thing to do.

Thank you again for your patience, continue being kind to one another, and I'll have more information about the next Kickstarter & the sticker preorder with the next update.

SHIPPING ADDRESSES LOCKED

Alright y'all! Addresses have officially been locked and I will begin packing orders this weekend, with the first batch going out Tuesday (as Monday is a holiday). I will wait until the first weekend in June before seeing if international shipping is a possibility yet. The last thing I want is for packages to get lost in the mail.

That being said, if you would like me to hold onto your package for the foreseeable future, please send me an email or a DM. I will make a note to hold onto your pledge/order in my BackerKit notes. I will post another update before sending out international orders.

I SHIP IT TOO! LAUNCH DATE

Lots of people chimed in about dates, and there were heaps of useful feedback! The biggest takeaway I found was that I may be jumping the gun trying to launch the next Kickstarter so soon after this one. I just want to share all the designs so badly! But I also need to be realistic. Now that I'm back to work full time, it's been a lot harder trying to balance enough time to work on the next Kickstarter, wrapping up this one, and keep everything balanced.

So! I Ship It Too: Another Fanfic Enamel Pin Collection will launch on Tuesday, June 9th at 8:00am PST. Like this Kickstarter, there will be backer-voted tropes to unlock, so I will be posting previews of the 12 finished pin designs in the weeks leading up to the launch. If you haven't already, go ahead and follow me on Instagram / Twitter to see the designs before the project's official launch!

And that's about it! What other tropes are you hoping will be in the next project? Let's see if y'all can guess the other half ;)

SPOTLIGHTS

Been a hot second since we did these, but there are some great projects here! Michelle over at Pollia Design has some kicking pins for those that love board games. Over half of the pins have been unlocked, which is awesome! I'm in love with the Board Gamer pin, and am hoping to get my hands on a Push Your Luck pin. Click the image to check out the project!

Like science? Like doggos? This pin set has you covered! Super cute dogs that are of scientific/historical importance! Star really nailed these designs; my personal favorite is Buddy, the first American seeing-eye dog, who will have an unfilled all-metal variant so you can feel the design.

You read right! All pins have made it safely to my hands and I couldn't be more pleased! Here's a quick photo I snapped:

I appreciate everyone's patience with how crazy and hectic the world has gotten in the past few months. I've already started grading and backing pins so that, once the stickers arrive, I will be able to start shipping out orders. In the meantime, I will be backing pins like crazy to get them out to y'all. There are over 3000 individual pins to put my hands on so it may take a while haha.

SHIPPING

I've had a few messages concerning shipping, particularly international shipping (outside the United States). I'm going to make a more detailed post about it when the ship date approaches, but I'm going to hold off shipping international orders until early June. At least. Because I've seen so many posts about folk's packages getting lost or held forever in the midst of this pandemic. If things look better by early June, I will try to ship packages. If not, I will wait and monitor the situation before sending out parcels. I apologize if that is a bit of an inconvenience.

NEW PROJECT

While I was waiting for the pins to arrive, I started work on the next set of FanFic pin designs. The choices were based on the poll folks completed to help determine the backer's choice pins. Would y'all like to see them? Let me know and I can have a preview ready on Friday for y'all ;3
